Thrive Global, Humanscale Partnership Addresses Ergonomics
Arianna Huffington, the driving force behind the global news site Huffington Post, has begun a new venture, Thrive Global.
Huffington commented in a recent announcement that her new project will tackle the effects of stress and burnout in the workplace. Her excitement shone through her statement and compounded the nature of Thrive Global, which will address human capital concerns such as workplace stress with corporate trainings, connections of individuals about their workplace habits, and the maintenance of an e-commerce platform that will feature well-being products.
The first of those products will come from Humanscale, a company known for its design of ergonomic chairs and office support hardware like adjustable keyboard rests and computer monitor arms. Huffington has initiated a partnership between her new vision and Humanscale to leverage the stress relieving products and positive mindset Humanscale CEO Robert King and company have offered since the early 1980s.
Presently and until Jan. 15, 2017, the Thrive Global loft in New York City will offer live Humanscale product demonstrations and will provide educational materials and presentations about what this new venture will offer. Huffington commented that Thrive Global products find their roots in science to allow users to live healthier lives.
“We are a company deeply rooted in science and dedicated to helping people go from knowing what to do to bring more well-being into their lives to actually doing it,” Huffington said. “I am so excited about the amazing collection of products, services, and technologies we’re featuring at Thrive Global that will help people improve their well-being and productivity and lead healthier and more joyful lives.”
This “pop-up” store in New York City will be the first in a series of collaborative endeavors between Thrive Global and Humanscale. Visitors to the month-long temporary location will be able to purchase products on site, rather than waiting for them to appear online. It makes sense that future sites may offer similar human capital services to the public so Thrive Global can attract attention and reach a wider range of potential customers.
